What led you to become a counselor?
I have a deep passion for helping others navigate the challenges in their lives. Having witnessed the struggles of those facing depression and family trauma, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is for people to have a safe space to heal and someone who truly listens with care. That’s why I do what I do.
What is your counseling style, and what will our first session together be like?
I take an integrated approach to therapy, drawing on modalities like CBT, DBT, self-compassion, person-centered therapy, and more. During our first session, we’ll focus on gathering information and getting to know each other, laying the foundation of trust and rapport.
What can I expect when working with you?
I offer a caring, nonjudgmental space where you’re in the driver’s seat, and we move at your pace. My focus is on helping you build coping skills and practical tools for daily life, while also addressing the specific challenges you’re facing.
What is it about Hope’s Beacon’s values and priorities that you really connect with?
I really appreciate that this is a person-centered company, not just focused on profits. It allows me to concentrate fully on my clients and their needs, while others handle the business side of things. This has truly been the most supportive company I’ve worked for.
