Tracy Lieske

Tracy recently joined the Hope’s Beacon team as a graduate counseling student intern. She is joining us to learn from our incredible team of clinicians, gain hands-on experience, and further develop her skills while supporting our clients.

What led you to become a counselor?

I chose this career because of my desire to help others navigate life’s challenges. Having personally experienced dark and lonely times, I know firsthand how transformative it can be to have the support of compassionate people who lift you up. My goal is to offer that same encouragement and guidance to others, helping them find their path to a better life, because I truly believe it’s out there waiting for them.

What is your counseling style, and what will our first session together be like?

The first session is all about beginning to build a relationship based on compassion and understanding. I take the time to get to know who you are, what you want out of life, and together, we’ll create a plan to help you get there. I’m genuinely interested in supporting you as you uncover or reconnect with your inner peace and joy. My goal is to be a supportive teammate on your journey—there to hold space for you during challenging times and celebrate with you when it’s your time to shine.

What can I expect when working with you?

I strive to embrace and enjoy life on all levels, whether it’s a quiet, reflective moment or one spent basking in the sun. I love to laugh and don’t take myself too seriously, but I also value the peaceful, serene moments life offers. I aim to bring a positive energy to any situation while maintaining a realistic perspective.

What is it about Hope’s Beacon’s values and priorities that you really connect with?

I really value the close-knit, supportive atmosphere here. Respect, dignity, and a sense of worth shouldn’t just be ideals—they should be the foundation of how we treat one another. And that’s something that’s genuinely practiced every day, no matter who walks through the door, including within the team.
