What led you to become a counselor?
I chose to become a therapist because of my own journey through trauma. Having experienced firsthand how overwhelming and isolating it can be, I felt compelled to help others find the support and healing they deserve. Therapy was the space where I learned to process, grow, and reclaim my life, and I wanted to create that same safe, compassionate environment for others. My personal story fuels my passion for walking alongside clients as they face their challenges and discover their inner strengths.
What is your counseling style, and what will our first session together be like?
Your first session with me is all about getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable and heard. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like to work on. I’ll ask plenty of questions to understand your experiences better, but there’s no pressure—we’ll take it at your pace. My goal is for you to leave feeling truly understood and supported, with a clearer idea of how we can work together to meet your needs.
What can I expect when working with you?
Working with me means having a space where you can truly be yourself, free from judgment. I take a compassionate, down-to-earth approach, meeting you where you’re at and customizing our work to fit your unique needs.
What is it about Hope’s Beacon’s values and priorities that you really connect with?
I truly appreciate working in a place that values compassion, authenticity, and connection. It’s refreshing to be part of an environment that prioritizes support—not just for clients, but for our team as well. There’s a real focus on fostering growth, collaboration, and a shared commitment to making a difference. I’m grateful to work in a space that empowers individuals, respects diverse experiences, and approaches every interaction with empathy and care.
