Get to know Lorenzo

What led you to become a counselor?

I was inspired to become a counselor due to a strong desire to honor the humanity and lived experience of each client. I am fascinated by experiences in therapy when people can unlock hidden parts of themselves. I feel incredibly lucky to work in a career field where I get to focus on people and their unique life journeys.

What is your counseling style and what will our first session together be like?

I focus on empowering clients through humanistic approaches in counseling. In our first session, we will discuss your motivation for starting therapy, how we can work together as a team to achieve your goals, and what your personal sense of meaning looks like. Therapy isn't easy! Sometimes, having the strength to reach out and ask for help is the hardest part. I am honored to listen in a judgment-free space to offer room for your growth and healing.

What can I expect when working with you?

I believe that life provides us with unique growth opportunities through both hardships and hard-fought wins. Therapy should be a place that offers you a chance to explore your story and how you make meaning. I am excited to work with you to grow your self-understanding in a comfortable, inviting, and healing space.

What is it about Hope's Beacon values and priorities that you really connect with?

We're deeply committed to helping you grow and process some of life's most difficult moments. Our diverse team is ready to walk with you through all the challenges that life offers, and I feel truly honored to be a part of this team!
