Amanda became a member of the Hope's Beacon Counseling team in July 2026. We knew she belonged with us because of her soft-spoken, compassionate personality and undeniable passion for helping others navigate through some of their most difficult times. These qualities allow her to hold a safe and judgment-free space for everyone she works with.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Walden University while working and developing her case management skills before returning to Walden to complete her Master of Social Work in February 2025. Amanda spent much of her career, both before and after completing her degrees, working with individuals starting over in their lives, including those who struggle with addiction challenges.

Amanda is very excited to be on this journey and meet people where they are at, helping them discover the best parts of themselves and fostering their growth along the way.

Get to know Amanda

What led you to become a counselor?

I have always had a passion for helping people, and I have always been eager to hear other's stories. At some point in my adult life, I realized that some of the most significant moments in people's lives happen when there is opportunity for healing and growth through challenges. I felt that becoming a therapist allowed me the chance to be a part of a person's 'ah-ha' moments and walk alongside them in their journey of healing.

What is your counseling style and what will our first session together be like?

My style and approach is person-centered, which to me means you are the expert when it comes to your own life. I believe that I am here to walk with you, help you navigate your experiences, and come up with solutions that feel the best to you.

What can I expect when working with you?

I provide a caring, judgment-free space in our time together. Your goals and needs will always be the focus of our sessions. I offer you compassion, empathy, and accountability as we work together to help you make the life-long changes that you desire!

What is it about Hope's Beacon values and priorities that you really connect with?

I love the fact that people are the MAIN priority. We see people as more than just a number on a spreadsheet, and because of that, I am challenged every day to be the best possible therapist I can be for those I serve.
